A Year of War in Gaza, and the Memorization Circles Have Not Stopped
Dar Al-Itqan for Teaching the Qur'an in Gaza said its memorization circles have not stopped during a full year of war, affirming that the Qur'anic journey will continue with the help of Allah, the Almighty.
The institution noted that, by the grace of Allah, it was able to open 250 memorization centers during the war, spread across displacement tents, schools, and shelters, despite the lack of a suitable environment for memorization and a shortage of Qur'an copies and juz' booklets due to the bombing of mosques and the facilities that support the Qur'anic movement.
During the war, 6,000 male and female students of all ages joined the memorization programs, including mothers of martyrs killed during the genocidal war, children of martyrs, displaced people, the injured, and people with special needs.
The institution documented a number of stories of willpower and determination among its students to keep the Qur'anic journey going, especially as they managed to memorize the Qur'an despite displacement and the demands of war, whether securing water or helping their families with essential needs. Some even succeeded in reciting the entire Holy Qur'an or parts of it in a single sitting.
As a year of war on Gaza passes, the institution extended special thanks to parents for their trust throughout the war, affirming that, with Allah's help, it will always live up to their trust. It also praised the generosity of donors, which contributes enormously to sustaining the blessed Qur'anic journey.
