Dar Al-Itqan Honors the Reciters Who Took Part in the Firm Mountains Competition
Dar Al-Itqan for Teaching the Qur'an honored 200 male and female reciters who took part in the Firm Mountains competition for reciting ten juz' of the Holy Qur'an in a single sitting.
The Qur'anic ceremony featured several segments, beginning with a recitation of the Holy Qur'an, followed by nasheeds performed by students, speeches from the Head of the institution and the donor, and listening to some creative examples and success stories, before the participants were honored.
The ceremony showcased how some of the reciters succeeded in overcoming the suffering of displacement and war, joining the Qur'anic journey and reciting from memory in a single sitting.
In his speech, the Head of the institution, Mr. Ahmed Musa, reaffirmed that the Firm Mountains competition is part of a plan leading to the recitation of the entire Qur'an in a single sitting, announcing an event for reciting fifteen juz' in the coming month of Sha'ban, Allah willing.
Mr. Musa also thanked the generous donors for their kind and generous support of the Qur'anic journey, calling for even more giving in this blessed field.
