Dar Al-Itqan Holds a One-Tenth Qur'an Recitation Event in Tribute to Prisoners

Dar Al-Itqan for Teaching the Qur'an held an event in which students recited one-tenth of the Holy Qur'an from memory in a single sitting at the Al-Aqsa University Mosque in the southern Gaza Strip, with female students from various memorization circles taking part.

The event paid tribute to prisoners by leaving empty seats in the gathering, as if reserved for the Qur'an memorizers held in prisons.

Participants displayed banners reading: "Al-Itqan's Empty Seat: At Dar Al-Itqan, we always keep a place for those whose bodies are absent but whose voices still shine," as well as "Today we recite one-tenth… and recite a story of endless patience in the cells," and "Our prisoners… the heartbeat of our hearts and the prayer in our prostration," among others.

Dar Al-Itqan praised these efforts, affirming its rejection of any harm to the lives and dignity of prisoners, guided by the teachings of the Holy Qur'an, and calling for the repeal of the law to execute Palestinian prisoners and for efforts to secure their release.
