Dar Al-Itqan for Teaching the Qur'an honored 155 male and female doctors who recited the entire Qur'an from memory in a single sitting in southern Gaza, on the 20th of Ramadan 1447 AH, corresponding to March 9, 2026.
The recitation event was titled "The Doctors' Cohort: Light and Healing," and was organized in cooperation with the student branch of the Palestinian Medical Forum.
Ahead of the ceremony, held in Khan Younis in a hall that survived the genocide Gaza has endured, Dar Al-Itqan announced a generous donation from His Eminence Sheikh Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Muhannadi of $100 for every doctor who recited the Book of Allah.
Dar Al-Itqan renewed its thanks to the generous donors for supporting the Qur'anic journey, expressing its pride in this blessed event, which brings together the light of the Qur'an and the mission of medicine, and marks a first in the Islamic world: doctors gathering to recite the entire Holy Qur'an in a single sitting.
